Microsoft 365 Collaboration to the end, a look under the hood!

Virtual workshops, automation of routine tasks and PowerApps for creating specialized apps - the focus of this webinar.

Microsoft 365 Collaboration - Futuristic Workplace

Many companies had to abruptly introduce new communication and collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams in spring 2020. These were used to quickly create opportunities for sharing, collaborative data processing or (video) telephony from the home office. Microsoft 365 (M365) in particular offers considerably more functions than could be thought through under this time pressure.

Since collaboration will increasingly take place in virtual space in the future and various requirements must be met, it is particularly worthwhile to take a look at the complete M365 package.

The goal of the webinar was to present the overall solution and to go into some methods and functions for better collaboration in more detail. In particular, the following topics were highlighted:

  • How do I organise virtual workshops with group work and coffee corners?
  • How do I automate small routine tasks, such as approval processes?
  • How do I use PowerApps for prototyping apps in departments to quickly test functionality in the field?

Virtual workshops

When you talk about virtual workshops, you often encounter the same challenges: How do I get participants to interact, how can I organize group work, how do I encourage creativity and who is ultimately responsible for the topics to be worked on?

Even if you have a lot of experience from face-to-face workshops and can react routinely to many situations, things are often different in the virtual format. The questions mentioned above become challenges again and especially as a moderator you have to prepare yourself separately. Finally, one has to use a technology that takes attention away from the usual activity.

The following three pillars help to master the challenges successfully: planning - preparation - moderation methods.

Microsoft 365 Collaboration thought through to the end

Automation of routine tasks

This is another topic that Microsoft 365 customers should take a closer look at: The automation of routine tasks with Microsoft Power Automate. Routine work in teams and companies can be very diverse. In this case, we take a look at the possibilities that Microsoft provides as well as the general conditions.

The goal of automation is to create time for non-routine work and to simplify collaboration. In order to achieve this, workflows are used. No special expertise is required, because effective workflows can be created with easy to understand drag and drop.

PowerApps for the creation of subject-specific apps

This webinar will give you an idea of how to use PowerApps to solve specific requirements, what the limitations are, and how to deal with them.

With PowerApps, small mobile apps can be developed, tested, and deployed for specific activities. The idea is based on various newer methods - such as Design Thinking: quickly develop a prototype, test it, evaluate it and thus create a basis for further decisions.

The thought behind it: Most developments take up a lot of time, are cost-intensive and are often "overdeveloped". With PowerApps, you don't need a development team. You only need experienced and ambitious power users with whom you can try out individual ideas and get something to test as quickly as possible. Evaluations take place on the basis of real tests.
