The processes at Sihl are extremely complex due to the large number of business transactions. ICB used Celonis software to analyze and optimize the processes at Sihl.
The complex IT structure at Sihl presents a challenge when it comes to analyzing processes holistically and across systems. To ensure a smooth order management process, ongoing processes and data from different systems have to be merged. If, for example, suppliers change their delivery dates, this requires an enormous amount of manual effort in order to communicate delays in the supply chain quickly and in a customer-oriented manner.
To overcome the challenges, Sihl needed to find ways to uncover process gaps and identify opportunities for improvement in the order-to-cash process and other areas. Based on its expertise in process mining, Sihl commissioned ICB to efficiently and digitally map, analyze and present the potential for optimization by using the Celonis process mining software.
By analyzing the ICB and using the Celonis Process Mining software, it became clear that the data transfer between the various systems was not running smoothly and could only be achieved with considerable effort. In our attached case study, we describe in detail how we overcame this challenge.
With 400 employees worldwide, the Sihl Group creates innovative solutions through high-quality coatings. Great challenge - efficient solution.
