HANSA-FLEX is a hidden champion. The globally active company is Europe's leading system provider for hydraulics and fluid technology and continues to expand.
The success is based primarily on the end-to-end product and service portfolio, which is completely tailored to the needs of its customers and is constantly expanding.
This enables HANSA-FLEX to improve its market position and that of its customers and to create new added value through innovative products and services. ICB is helping HANSA-FLEX to continue its growth course with modern solutions with a digitalisation strategy.
To enable HANSA-FLEX to meet its ambitious goals and respond to new requirements, the historically evolved structures are to be renewed in the dimensions of technology, organisation, processes and governance.
The Blueprint integrates different concepts, reduces interfaces, improves communication with clarity in the organisation and thus forms the basis for effective investment decisions. Always with the goal of cost-effectiveness: In the future, the IT team should be able to deliver more output with the same team size.
One of the most urgent issues was a comprehensive reorganization of communication and collaboration technology. Instead of renewing the e-mail and telephony solutions individually, as initially planned, both projects were combined and a collaboration platform was designed as a solution based on Microsoft Office 365. The challenge was to take into account the heterogeneity of users from Bluecollar to management. For this purpose, 220 employees at three locations from 13 areas were surveyed and 51 specific use cases were distilled from them. This paved the way for the project.
"The introduction of Office 365 was a very good decision," summarizes IT manager Jürgen Kaemena today. The digital workplace has proven its worth, especially in times of the pandemic. HANSA-FLEX was easily able to quickly adapt the processes to the new requirements.
A digitization strategy was defined along the business objectives and a roadmap for the next 3 years was set. With the aim of increasing IT productivity, potential was identified in several areas. Concepts for IT architecture, organizational development, processes, IT service management and risk management provide appropriate recommendations for investment projects.
